Born on December 12, 1950 in a Marathi family of Bangalore, Rajani was not from a very affluent family. Rajni's real name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. Shivaji was the youngest among four children of Jijabai and Ramoji Rao. His schooling took place in Bengaluru.

- Rajneikant lost his mother only at the age of four. The gardener's condition was not very good. So they did all kinds of work. Rajinikanth has been working like a coolie from a bus conductor to a bus conductor. Due to the unique style of cutting their tickets in bus, they used to be very popular among bus drivers and contractors.

Rajinikant's friend Raj Bahadur helped fulfill the dream of becoming an actor. He motivated Rajinikanth for his admission in the Madras Film Institute. It was not easy for Rajinikanth to do this. Then these and some other friends came forward to help him, who was just a conductor like him. During learning, he learned Tamil too.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth meets film director K. Balchandra happened. He only gave Rajinikanth a chance in the film Apurva Ranagagal. There were also Kamal Haasan and Srividya. However, there was a small negative roll in it. After this, they got the same role for the first two-three years.


After playing Negative Character, Rajinikanth first appeared as a hero in the film 'Bhuvan Oru Kelvikuri', breaking his villain image. Muthuramam and Rajinikanth duo liked the audience and they worked in about 25 films.
